The Team of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) searched the office of PT Lippo Karawaci Tbk, in Menara Matahari, Tangerang, Banten, Wednesday, October 17, 2018. Search was related to a case of alleged bribery in the permit for the Meikarta development project, in Cikarang, Bekasi Regency, West Java.
"The KPK team is still at the location," said KPK spokesman Febri Diansyah when confirmed by reporters in a short message, Wednesday, October 17, 2018.
However, Febri claimed not to know what would be confiscated from the search. According to him, the search process is still ongoing. Febri did not confirm whether there was a search at another location. "There is no other location info," Febri said.
In the case of the alleged bribery of Meikarta's license, the KPK has ensnared 9 suspects. Two of them, Bekasi Regent Neneng Hasanah Yasin and Lippo Group Operational Director Billy Sindoro.
Neneng Hasanah and his men allegedly received Rp7 billion in bribes from Billy. The money was allegedly part of the promised first pase fee of Rp. 13 billion related to the Meikarta licensing process.
Seven other people who were charged as suspects were employees of Lippo Group Henry Jasmen, two Lippo Group consultants, Taryudi and Fitra Djaja Purnama.
Then Head of the PUPR of Bekasi Regency, Jamaludin, Head of the Bekasi Fire Department, Sahat M Nohor, Head of the Bekasi Integrated Investment and Licensing Service, Dewi Tisnawati District, and Head of the Bekasi PUPR Office Spatial Division Neneng Rahmi.
