The National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) requested a budget from the Ministry of Finance to deal with victims of the earthquake and tsunami disasters in Donggala and Palu, Central Sulawesi. Finance Minister Sri Mulyani said the requested budget was around Rp. 560 billion. "We immediately process today so that it can be disbursed as soon as possible, even if tomorrow allows (disbursed) banking," said Sri Mulyani when met in Jakarta, Saturday (09/29/2018). The disbursed budget comes from the post for BNPB. However, the government will also use reserve funds considering that BNPB has spent a lot of money on disaster management in Lombok, which is still going on today. Sri Mulyani said that the current state budget condition was healthy so that the reserve funds available were also sufficient to be distributed to Donggala and Palu.

"Later we will see the reallocation of the country's general treasurer," Sri Mulyani said. Sri Mulyani asserted, the government would total aid for the current emergency times. The most important thing is that the victim will be treated as soon as possible. "So that victims can be minimized or those who are sick can be handled," said Sri Mulyani.

Previously reported, an earthquake measuring magnitude 7.4 struck Palu and its surroundings, Friday (09/28/2018). The quake was centered in Donggala City, Central Sulawesi. Tsunami is estimated to reach the mainland at 17.22 WIB or 18.22 WITA.
