The Ministry of Communication and Information Technology (Kemenkominfo) responded to the existence of political nuances of ring back tones (RBT), such as 'Jokowi Saja', these days. The Ministry of Communication and Information believes that this might happen.
"This is possible given the collaboration between cellular operators and content providers is business to business," said Head of Public Relations Bureau of Communication and Information Ferdinandus Setu in a press release received in Jakarta on Tuesday (18/9).
However, the Ministry of Communication and Informatics affirmed that as long as it did not violate the point prohibition number 5 Minister of Communication and Information Regulation No. 9 of 2017 signed by Minister Rudiantara on January 24, 2017 and promulgated on February 7, 2017. The regulation stipulates that ring back tones (RBT) can be replaced with song pieces, music or other distinctive sounds are provided by cellular operators in collaboration with music providers both individuals and associations.
Collaboration in providing RBT in the form of song, music or special sound pieces is carried out based on business to business relationships to support national industries. The regulation also stipulates that the Content Provider must provide complete, correct and accurate information about the content provided in accordance with the provisions of the legislation.
The Minister of Communication and Informatics Regulation also regulates the prohibition for Content Providers to provide charged content contrary to Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia, potentially creating SARA conflicts. Not only that, the Permen also prohibits content that violates decency and pornography, gambling, humiliation, extortion, defamation, infringement of intellectual property rights and is contrary to the provisions of the legislation.
Lately, there have been promotional images of RBT reggae genre song titled "Jokowi Saja" by Papa T Bob, sung with Rega Rege and Riri. In the picture also written the song is available for Telkomsel, Indosat, XL / Axis and Tri mobile operators.
Telkomsel in a written statement received in Jakarta, Tuesday (18/9), stated that the news about the Personal Dial Tone (NSP) poster was incorrect. "The NSP is not in our NSP song selection," said Telkomsel External Corporate Communication GM, Denny Abidin.
